Over the years all the stuff I've heard "play hard to get" "don't tell him how you feel" or " he won't buy the cow if he gets the milk for free" OK so the last one is more advise then a mind game, but it plays a part! Starting out in elementary school with the first boy you liked and the note that says "do you like me? Yes or no" and it comes back with the "or" circled. I have to admit I've done that myself! From the beginning, games like that was innocent and I think meant to keep from being teased, but later in life and after the experience of heart break I think mind games have become a defense mechanism.
I think most women have a greater sense of empathy then men ( in general, not true for all men or women) and the reason they play mind games. Can be for different reasons, but based around the same concept, heart break. They either don't want their heart broke or they don't want to cause a heart break.
But in the end is the mind game really worth it? Does it just prolong the inevitable? Would it be better to just be blunt and save time? Maybe only to another that thinks the same. Until we can get over the fear of heart break, let the games begin!!
